The only thing it lacks that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for dry ones in just a few minutes. 2. IRobot Roomba X30 The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Roomba X40 from iRobot The robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular look that looks more like a regular Roomba model than the bulky models from the competitors. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads). The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.
